Any fan of BAPE® is always on the edge of their seat to learn about what the next collaboration will bring. Sometimes we get single diamonds in the rough, and sometimes we get a whole suite of co-branded apparel that can either be fully coordinated or mixed and matched easily to your liking. The BAPE® x New Balance “Training Camp” collection is very much the latter.
These pieces were designed with a “pre-sport” vibe for when you’re on the way to play sports or to the gym. Beige, pink, and grey tones reflect the camo colours from the shoes, which are, of course, the centre of the capsule. But they’ve also got you fully covered literally from head to toe with matching caps, hoodies, tees, and shorts. Throughout the collection you’ll find the New Balance logo mingled with BAPE®’s logos and motifs. The harmonious combination gives you a unity of the energy from both brands to carry you to and from your active hobbies throughout the summer. The athleisure apparel line would be exclusive to Japan and China only.
The collaborative 57/40 is the answer to a question that is simple, yet astronomical in scale. The 57/40 approaches the hybrid concept with inspirations from the 650 silhouette, to explore and create a new perspective on an iconic design, with BAPE® classic camo. The unique midsole combines a flared take on the classic 574 construction with ‘90s tech inspired details, while the mudguard and eyerow feature the distinctive wavy embellishments of the ‘80s.
